I wish to help researchers in, for example, Polish universities and research institutes to publish and communicate their research effectively in English.


I am an experienced former UK university academic with over 40 scientific publications as well as additional consultancy, interim management and English teaching experience (CELTA-qualified with over three years of English teaching experience). 


I can assist you face-to-face (within Warsaw) or online anywhere in Poland. My clients span a wide range of disciplines such as engineering, medicine, history, linguistics, business and the social sciences.


I wish to work with researchers with minimum CEFR B2 level English who wish their academic English to be brought up to a high professional level.


I offer the following services to you either on an ongoing or ad-hoc basis:


1) Academic English/Writing. I have already taught academic writing with very positive student feedback. I published academic papers and business reports in English and I would be happy to teach you how to write for publication and to present your work at conferences. If you are working on an advanced thesis (e.g. PhD, habilitation), or an active academic researcher I can help you master writing academic English to a high standard. Apart from a scientific academic career (degrees in chemistry and artificial intelligence), I am MBA qualified and have management experience. Therefore I can teach to your specific requirements.


2) Copy-editing/proofreading. I am happy to discuss rates — I have worked on high impact reports in the past in business, policy, and academia. I have also worked with Polish clients such as the Warsaw Institute, Koźmiński University, the University of Warsaw and IPN.


NOTE: If you require Polish-English translation, I know a number of good translators.


I am not interested in working for language schools (I already worked for one of the world's best). I operate through a (non-VAT registered) działalność gospodarcza and so can issue invoices.
