How do I do that?

Talking about subjects you're passionate about and discussing more difficult topics you're not as knowledgable in pushes students to develop their vocabulary and become confident in speaking and expressing their opinion. I can relate to the struggle of overcoming that block, a language barrier you can't seem to break when comes to speaking, as it took me a few years to overcome my fear of speaking Polish. I overcame this wall by exposing myself to a number of situations and texts. This is exactly how I teach my students. I incorporate articles, movies, ted talks, and other types of homework. I make our sessions challenging yet, at the same time, keep it fun!
