I'm a professional English teacher originally from New York, where I graduated from Hunter College (The City University of New York) in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Following graduation, I worked for a time in internet marketing as well as managed a rock band (which I also happened to be a founding member of). In 2009 I had the opportunity to take part in an introductory post-baccalaureate Polish course (A1/A2) at my alma mater thanks to the support of the Kościuszko Foundation in Manhattan. That was followed by a six-week intensive course at the Jagiellonian Univeristy (B1), and later one semester of intensive Polish lessons at the Catholic University of Lublin (B2), after which I settled in Poland.
I have over five years of experience teaching English as a foreign language. During that time I’ve cooperated with several foreign language schools, in addition to teaching in-company Business English courses at various international firms throughout Warsaw as well as cooperating in EU academic development projects.
Education, Qualifications, Experience:
Bachelor of Arts in History – European History major / German minor
Hunter College (CUNY) - 100 hours of introductory Polish (A1/A2)

Over five years of experience teaching English as a foriegn language.
Throughout my career I’ve taught both small-group and individual lessons (from beginner to proficiency), General as well as Business English, and have also prepared students for proficiency exams (TOEFL and IELTS).
I’ve worked with many different sectors of Polish society, from business professionals (managers as well as staff) and service industry workers to university professors and students, lawyers and civil servants.
Interests, Hobbies, & Other Info:
I was a member of a band called A Stillwater Satellite for over 15 years, and can play the bass, drums, saxophone and clarinet. I’m currently working with musicians from Lublin on the instrumental project Braces are Beautiful.
I love reading - especially history, travel, reportage, politics, and I like to keep up on world news in general. Since I speak fluent Polish, I also read publications such as Polityka, Gazeta Wyborcza, Duży Format, Przegląd.
